Valentine’s Day is a hard one. While it’s hard to wholly embrace a holiday manufactured by the greeting card companies, there’s still that annoying pressure to mark the day in spite of it all.
I thought one way of uniting the pro-Valentine’s Day camp and the anti-Valentine’s Day camp is to talk about messy, unattractive, tummy-upsetting foods to avoid, or to embrace as the case may be, for V-day.
For you romantic lot, you’d definitely want to avoid these foods. And for you naysayers, why not embrace these foods as an anti-Valentine’s Day gesture.
Here’s my list of three unsexy foods:
- Raw garlic and onions – hello stinky breath.
- Long noodles with dark sauce -- ie)spaghetti, Shanghai noodles – all that sloppy slurping – not sexy.
- Whole grilled sausages – as Elana says, “just wrong.”
How about you, what’s on your list of top unsexy foods?
